    Best trail shoe ever!

I’m a personal trainer and gym owner. I’m also an avid hiker and mountain climber. I train and plan backpacking trips for groups and would recommend these shoes wholeheartedly for their zero drop. wide toe box and grounding technology. In fact I’ve already sent many of my clients to your website to check out.

My wish was if you could come out with a mid- top that was also waterproof while maintaining the current specs? They would go a long way in wet Washington weather. Thanks!

    Excellent Trail shoe

I love these trail runners, they blow away any Altra in terms of longevity and durability, I've already done 100 miles in them and they are like new but very dirty. Already would've already had tears in the upper and a flattened missile. If there was one thing I would change it would be the toe spring, maybe lower it by 10% for a truly more natural foot feel. I would like to see a waterproof trail version and give me some more bright and crazy colors for the trail, Solar is awesome, but I want more, take hints from Hoka or Salomon trail shoes, otherwise I highly recommend these trail shoes. Also if you're not running in zero drop shoes, transition slowly or you will pull a calf muscle or Achilles, it will happen.

    New favorite for my sport

The sock fit, wide toe box, zero-drop and just the right amount of grip make this the perfect shoe for dog agility training and competitions. I’ve used these shoes in dirt arenas, on artificial turf and outdoors on grass — the three most common surfaces for my sport — Flux is great on each of these surfaces. I love them so much, I’ve purchased a second pair and will always have them in my agility wardrobe.

    New to these

After averaging ten miles per day off-road with or without socks, these have replaced not only my Hokas but also my Altras which I thought would never happen. These shoes are the future, at least for this 50 year old runner.

Wearing bulky shoes is like keeping your feet in casts. Sure, they’re temporarily safe, and may even be able to recover from overuse, but this is merely a band-aid, not a long term solution. Your body works and feels best when it’s being used and appropriately challenged.

  • Stronger Feet: Traditional shoes restrict movement and weaken foot muscles over time. Barefoot shoes promote natural movement, strengthening muscles in the feet, ankles, and lower legs for better stability and strength.
  • Happier Toes: A wide toe-box gives your toes freedom to wiggle and flex. This builds up their strength and flexibility, making it easier to move around without hurting your ankles or knees.
  • Balanced Stride: A zero-drop design, meaning your heel and forefoot are on the same level, gives you a natural, graceful stride that takes the strain off your joints and perks up your posture.

"Barefoot shoes" is a general term for shoes that optimize the natural biomechanics of the human foot. To achieve that, our shoes feature excellent flexibility, zero-drop (no heel raise), and a generous toe-box to accomodate the foot's natural shape.

Flux shoes have a generous toe-box, thanks to the toe-off shape which creates ample room for the toes throughout the gait cycle.

Yes, these shoes are flat from heel to toe, allowing your feet to land naturally.

The amount of time it takes to transition to barefoot shoes varies for each individual, as everyone's feet are different and may adapt to the new shoes at different rates. However, the following general guidelines can help:

  • Gradual transition: Gradually increasing the amount of time you spend in barefoot shoes can help reduce discomfort and allow your feet to adjust to the new sensation of walking without shoes.
  • Start small: Begin by wearing barefoot shoes for a few hours at a time and gradually increase the duration as your feet get used to them.
  • Listen to your body: Pay attention to any discomfort or pain you experience while wearing barefoot shoes. If you experience discomfort, take a break and switch back to your regular shoes for a few days.
  • Give it time: It can take several weeks or even months for your feet to fully adjust to barefoot shoes, so be patient and persistent.

Keep in mind that everyone's feet are different and the transition time may vary. It's important to listen to your body and adjust accordingly to ensure a comfortable transition to barefoot shoes.
