    The Unendurable Saga

Shoe: Foot slides forward in shoe. Toes smash against front of toe box. Must use final shoelace eyelet lock to keep foot from sliding. This isn’t ideal because there is no padded tongue (sock design) and laces dig into ankle. Feels like the shoelaces cut the circulation to your foot because you have to tie them tight.

If you need to use orthotics this shoe is not the answer. Even removing the factory insoles you have no room for orthotics. It raises the height of the shoe considerably and makes the shoe extremely tight.

The toe box width is okay. There is some width, but the issue of the foot slide problem smashes your toes against front of toe box all but negating the width benefit. (This problem exists even when you have the correct size shoe) The shoes are not comfortable. They feel weird. I’ve tried breaking them in, and they’re just a really poor shoe.

Saga: Flux high top trainers were recommended by my podiatrist. My wife bought them for me as a gift. They were the wrong size. First we tried getting the correct size but Flux were out of stock. We shipped the wrong size shoes back to Flux. Dealing with Flux customer support was beyond painful. They charged us a fee for shipping the shoes back. Then we tried getting our money back which Flux made impossible. They forced us to get a credit through a digital gift card. I waited and waited for the right size to become available so I could order them. It appears they’re no longer making the adapt high top trainers…

    Great for sore toes!

Lately all shoes have been hurting my toes. These are roomy in the toe box! The only thing I don’t like is how high the back part of the shoes goes on the heel. I don’t like the way it feels when I run or do lunges. It pulls somewhat. I plan to try the other styles in the future and see if this is better for exercising.

This is a great shoe for everyday!

Also I don’t wear socks with these!

    Love these shoes!

I am really impressed with these shoes. I love the wide-toe and the wide-toe is actually why I bought them. What I was pleasantly surprised by was how lightweight they are, and how well cushioned and supportive they are without having as thick / tall a bottom as a lot of other comparable shoes. They’re just very stable, comfortable, breathable and fit well — plus they’re super cute. Will be buying more pairs in the future!

    All day wear

I have worn these every day since purchasing. I walk on concrete for 9+ hours daily and my feet don’t hurt the way they used to in other shoes. I am forever a customer and can’t wait to get more colors!!

    Read all the reviews

I have been wanting to try these shoes for a while, influencers rave about them, that is their job, right. Buyer be warned, do not buy them when they are on sale. You can't return them, only exchange when they are on sale and you have to get "approval" to exchange them. I had to send pictures of the condition of the shoe because I did wear them briefly. Read all of the reviews, one star to five stars and then decide for yourself if you want to try them.

The adapt runner RUNS SMALL. I'm normally an 8-8.5, always. I had to get these shoes in a 9. The 8.5 were causing my big toe on my right toe to fall asleep. Currently my big toe is going numb on the right foot with the size 9. Maybe that will get better as the shoe "adapts" to my foot. There is some rubbing on my left foot as well. I would say this shoe is not a good fit for my feet. Maybe it will get better as they break in. Perhaps it will be a good fit for your feet.

Wearing bulky shoes is like keeping your feet in casts. Sure, they’re temporarily safe, and may even be able to recover from overuse, but this is merely a band-aid, not a long term solution. Your body works and feels best when it’s being used and appropriately challenged.

  • Stronger Feet: Traditional shoes restrict movement and weaken foot muscles over time. Barefoot shoes promote natural movement, strengthening muscles in the feet, ankles, and lower legs for better stability and strength.
  • Happier Toes: A wide toe-box gives your toes freedom to wiggle and flex. This builds up their strength and flexibility, making it easier to move around without hurting your ankles or knees.
  • Balanced Stride: A zero-drop design, meaning your heel and forefoot are on the same level, gives you a natural, graceful stride that takes the strain off your joints and perks up your posture.

"Barefoot shoes" is a general term for shoes that optimize the natural biomechanics of the human foot. To achieve that, our shoes feature excellent flexibility, zero-drop (no heel raise), and a generous toebox to accomodate the foot's natural shape.

Flux shoes have a generous toe-box, thanks to the toe-off shape which creates ample room for the toes throughout the gait cycle.

Yes, these shoes are flat from heel to toe, allowing your feet to land naturally.

The amount of time it takes to transition to barefoot shoes varies for each individual, as everyone's feet are different and may adapt to the new shoes at different rates. However, the following general guidelines can help:

  • Gradual transition: Gradually increasing the amount of time you spend in barefoot shoes can help reduce discomfort and allow your feet to adjust to the new sensation of walking without shoes.
  • Start small: Begin by wearing barefoot shoes for a few hours at a time and gradually increase the duration as your feet get used to them.
  • Listen to your body: Pay attention to any discomfort or pain you experience while wearing barefoot shoes. If you experience discomfort, take a break and switch back to your regular shoes for a few days.
  • Give it time: It can take several weeks or even months for your feet to fully adjust to barefoot shoes, so be patient and persistent.

Keep in mind that everyone's feet are different and the transition time may vary. It's important to listen to your body and adjust accordingly to ensure a comfortable transition to barefoot shoes.
