I have never been a fan of shoes. No matter the brand, I end up with sore toes, sore midfoot, or blisters… or sometimes a mixture. I was skeptical of Flux shoes, but the minute I first put them on I could tell they were completely different. My toes no longer hurt… My arch and midfoot are comfortable. No blisters! Modern shoes limit your mobility. Natural movement shoes let them move as they should—building strength, improving balance, and supporting posture. With a wide toe box and zero-drop design, they help you move freely, comfortably, and naturally.

The amount of time it takes to transition to barefoot shoes varies for each individual, as everyone's feet are different and may adapt to the new shoes at different rates. However, the following general guidelines can help:

  • Gradual transition: Gradually increasing the amount of time you spend in barefoot shoes can help reduce discomfort and allow your feet to adjust to the new sensation of walking without shoes.
  • Start small: Begin by wearing barefoot shoes for a few hours at a time and gradually increase the duration as your feet get used to them.
  • Listen to your body: Pay attention to any discomfort or pain you experience while wearing barefoot shoes. If you experience discomfort, take a break and switch back to your regular shoes for a few days.
  • Give it time: It can take several weeks or even months for your feet to fully adjust to barefoot shoes, so be patient and persistent.

Keep in mind that everyone's feet are different and the transition time may vary. It's important to listen to your body and adjust accordingly to ensure a comfortable transition to barefoot shoes.

A wide toe box refers to the space at the front of a shoe, allowing the toes to align and spread naturally. This design helps reduce pressure on the toes, improving foot function and comfort. Flux shoes have a generous toe-box, thanks to the toe-off shape which creates ample room for the toes throughout the gait cycle.

Adapt Runners fit small for most. We recommend sizing up a 1/2 size for the best fit. For more details, refer to our size chart for guidance on finding your perfect fit.

Machine Washable: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. If using a top-loading machine, place on top of laundry load. Let air dry, out of direct sunlight. Do not machine-dry. This will also freshen up and re-animate the interior foam. For white shoes, to preserve the color, we recommend treating the shoe with a water/stain repellent spray prior to wear. Do not use bleach.

I love Flux footwear. I have a bunion and these active shoes are the only ones I found to not hurt my feet. Plus the zero drop made a big difference in my knee pain. I have been wearing them for a few years now and have owned 4 pair of the Adapt Runner and a pair of trail shoes.

I’m a nurse & on my feet all the time. I have wide feet so the wide toe box is perfect. are the most comfortable shoes. I have worn other zero drop shoes, but these are the most comfortable by far. I love the slip on style. I did as others suggested & sized up by 1/2 size. They’re perfect. I came here today to buy another pair!

Just bought my fourth pair of the Adapt Runner for our household. Flux for the family. They have held up beautifully both for casual wear (for mom and dad) and more intense athletics (three sport teenager). After recovering from plantar fasciitis that began with a mainline brand running shoe, I’ve had no flare ups with Flux. Never going back to a traditional running shoe!

Great shoe fits great very durable. Great tow box. Lots of space super easy to get on, but this color scheme sucks. It’s all one color the entire shoe. It makes the shoe look very cheap. It also feels more stiff than my previous pair with the gum base. Oh well - flux doesn’t let you return anything so I’m stuck with this pair for now.

Sure would be great to be able to send a pair back after you wear them for 20 feet. I’ll go to use my cash back that they gave me for the last pairs purchase and I’ll add this 10% review coupon and they’ll reject it bc of too many discounts. For a co that sells a shoe as basic and ugly and stiff as the Horchata RN, you would think they would be more lax and lenient with returns and exchanges. Not impressed w their policies. Sucks I’m stuck w a $160 pair of shoes that are really worth about $60 at best. For the life of me please let me exchange my ugly horchata single color shoe for anything else in size 12

Very comfortable. Love the wider toe box. Been wearing to lift/HIIT cardio classes. Gave 4 stars because where you slip your foot into is a little fitted and I have been wearing for awhile and there hasn't been much give to make it easier to put my foot in.

Super comfortable, laces stay tied, breathable. The only walking shoes that don’t cause me to have knee strain. My only concern is that a piece of playground mulch went through the bottom within a few wears. I was lucky my foot was not stabbed. Flux should consider reinforcing the soles.

Shoes are good! Until they fall apart- company is good about replacing them… I purchased a color that was limited edition final sale & suuuchhh a different color than shown online and would you guess- tough nuts. Sad bc they are good shoes.

At first I HATED these. I am wearing these to train for a half marathon and was constantly getting shin splints. The insoles were also making my feet tingle. When I tried a different brand of shoe, I decided to push through and give these another chance and now I won’t go back! My legs/feet adjusted and now I’m running better than I ever have and they’re soooo comfortable

This is my 2nd pair of the Runners and my feet feel so much better in a wide toe box shoe. I usually lift barefoot but these are nice to wear to lift and keep on when doing say chest/back. I love the Horchata RN color.

The first pair of Adapt that I purchased a couple years ago were so amazing! I have purchased other shoes from Flux but not the Adapt. I finally decided to just go back to the Adapt because I had loved them so much and the others weren't to the same level. This pair feel so tight on my feet (like they are too narrow through the middle of the foot). I don't know what they changed about these shoes, but this will be the last pair I purchase. The return process is difficult and time consuming. For the price point, I need a pair of shoes that don't make my feet go numb mid- run.

Why don't you make a women's size 6? I want some of these so bad. I tried the 6.5 but their too big and since these are mesh and don't cinch, I can't tighten to make the size work.
