"I get nervous ordering online with anything I wear… The Flux Adapt Runner delivered… feels natural to foot and perfect comfort. Size is true to fit. Wide toe box is perfect and the construction is on par with a popular Swiss shoe." - Max H."
I have never been a fan of shoes. No matter the brand, I end up with sore toes, sore midfoot, or blisters… or sometimes a mixture. I was skeptical of Flux shoes, but the minute I first put them on I could tell they were completely different. My toes no longer hurt… My arch and midfoot are comfortable. No blisters! The back is so sturdy, yet so flexible and easy to get on and off. Not sure how they do it. I walk/jog at least 5 miles per day and have a standing desk for work that I am now able to stand at almost all day. My feet never hurt." - Brittany S.

Comfort + Sensory Feedback = Improved Foot Strength
Our vision for a more freeing shoe didn’t exist. But we wouldn’t have gone down this path if we were afraid of being underdogs. After years of prototyping and development we discovered that a shoe our feet deserved wasn’t going to be cheap but to our surprise, at $139.99, it turned out to be less than some bigger brands.
No more over-engineering. Just research-backed design that moves with your feet, not against them.
A Different Approach to a Running Shoe
Barefoot shoes with zero-drop, a wide toe box, and just the right amount of stretch will allow your feet to revel in newfound freedom.
The AdaptSol™ insole includes over 100 nodes that massage your feet and provide comfort with every step.
Lightweight and cushioned. The rubber AdaptTread™ outsole provides the ultimate traction for any adventure.
Wearing bulky shoes is like keeping your feet in casts. Sure, they’re temporarily safe, and may even be able to recover from overuse, but this is merely a band-aid, not a long term solution. Your body works and feels best when it’s being used and appropriately challenged.
- Stronger Feet: Traditional shoes restrict movement and weaken foot muscles over time. Barefoot shoes promote natural movement, strengthening muscles in the feet, ankles, and lower legs for better stability and strength.
- Happier Toes: A wide toe-box gives your toes freedom to wiggle and flex. This builds up their strength and flexibility, making it easier to move around without hurting your ankles or knees.
- Balanced Stride: A zero-drop design, meaning your heel and forefoot are on the same level, gives you a natural, graceful stride that takes the strain off your joints and perks up your posture.
"Barefoot shoes" is a general term for shoes that optimize the natural biomechanics of the human foot. To achieve that, our shoes feature excellent flexibility, zero-drop (no heel raise), and a generous toebox to accomodate the foot's natural shape.
Flux shoes have a generous toe-box, thanks to the toe-off shape which creates ample room for the toes throughout the gait cycle.
Yes, these shoes are flat from heel to toe, allowing your feet to land naturally.
The amount of time it takes to transition to barefoot shoes varies for each individual, as everyone's feet are different and may adapt to the new shoes at different rates. However, the following general guidelines can help:
- Gradual transition: Gradually increasing the amount of time you spend in barefoot shoes can help reduce discomfort and allow your feet to adjust to the new sensation of walking without shoes.
- Start small: Begin by wearing barefoot shoes for a few hours at a time and gradually increase the duration as your feet get used to them.
- Listen to your body: Pay attention to any discomfort or pain you experience while wearing barefoot shoes. If you experience discomfort, take a break and switch back to your regular shoes for a few days.
- Give it time: It can take several weeks or even months for your feet to fully adjust to barefoot shoes, so be patient and persistent.
Keep in mind that everyone's feet are different and the transition time may vary. It's important to listen to your body and adjust accordingly to ensure a comfortable transition to barefoot shoes.
